Extinction Rebellion and Greenpeace are jointly hosting an event to allow Stroud’s parliamentary candidates to put forward their ideas on how to respond to the climate and ecological emergency. The event will be held at the Sub Rooms on Tuesday 19 November from 7 to 9pm and entry will be free; parent-friendly and children welcome. David Drew MP will attend along with Desi Latimer for the Brexit Party, Siobhan Baillie for the Conservatives and Molly Scott-Cato for the Greens.
XR is not endorsing any political party but we need to make the climate the number one issue for these elections in Stroud.
You can find out more on the climate hustings Facebook page.
We need to ask the most pressing questions of this election and demand answers. We want all candidates to sign XR’s Three Demands Bill; we want to know, What is Your Plan? How will you tell the truth? Brexit is not life threatening; the climate emergency is: are you feeling panic the way Greta Thunberg says you need to?
