ath, Saturday 28 October, unite to survive for nature, climate and social justice. An inclusive family-friendly protest for the public and for all nature, climlate and social justice allies. For more info contact: accessinclusionssw@protonmail.com

Just wanted to let you know about a South West family friendly protest day coming up on Saturday 28 October in Bath.

All nature, climate and social justice groups are invited to help shape the event with us.

There will be a number of climate groups joining us in Bath. As ever we will be supported by the Red Rebels and the XR Rhythms bands from across the South West.

It should be a wonderful opportunity to do something about the bad climate news we’ve been hearing about all summer. It will be a fun, relaxing low risk day focused on raising awareness of climate issues.

We’ll share more information about the day as we get nearer the time.

Getting other groups involved

If you’re a member of a climate, nature or social just group that you think may want to join us.

Feel free to contact the South West team directly on accessinclusionsw@protonmail.com. OR, here is a suggested invitation letter which you can copy to send to your group.

Next August meetings & local action planning

XR Stroud

Hope you are as well as you can be.

As this government prepares to create 100+ new drilling licences for North Sea oil and gas. It’s time to pick up our local activity planning.

Our next meeting

XR Stroud will be meeting next at the Green Drinks on 9 August at 7:30 to 10:30pm at Stroud Brewery: Main Bar, GL5 2BY.

This relaxed event brings together those with a shared passion for sustainability in all its forms.

We meet monthly to chat about what’s going on in the Net Zero / Sustainability space, “network” and meet others who are interested in the field.

Register your intention to attend here.

Regular meetings

Our more regular meetings are fortnightly on Wednesdays at the Ale House in Stroud at 7pm. Our next regular meeting will be on 23 August.

All of our future meetings are listed on our website if you need them.

Planning local actions

Some ideas for what we could do next involve:

💰Gloucestershire County Council pensions & fossil fuel divestment

🏦Barclays (Europe’s largest fossil fuel financier)

🔥Our local incinerator

🏞️ River Wye pollution

Do you have any ideas for what you’d like us to do next? Please bring your ideas along to a future meeting.
