A chance to meet fellow Rebels in the open air.

Meet at Beechenhurst Cafe, Coleford GL16 7EG at 10:30 am for an 11am walk at the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail.

Bring your own packed lunch / stay for as long as you want. Possible extension into a local pub for more discussions!

There is a Facebook event here if you’d like to go along.

Hope to see you in 2022 (when our meetings start up again). Have a good, long rest and stay safe.

As there’s no meeting tonight I thought you might like to know about a local climate coalition COP26 action happening in Gloucester.

Saturday 6 November at Gloucester cathedral

Join a somber procession through the streets of Gloucester and then a gathering with speakers, exhibits and stalls. Bring a placard to send your demand for action message to world leaders. All welcome!
Meet for the procession at 1:30pm at Shire Hall in Westgate street and then at the cathedral for the gathering at 3pm. Please wear face masks.

I’m preparing to leave for Glasgow now, so all the best, stay safe and see you soon!

I’ve prepared a guide for rebels that are planning to go to Glasgow for COP26. I’ll be keeping it up-to-date with the latest information for rebels in Stroud and Gloucestershire.

You can view the COP26 guide here.

Next local action

There’s still one more ethical banking action planned at the Cheltenham branch of Barclays on 9 October at 12pm to 2pm. This will be to encourage people to switch to ethical banks. This will likely involve a die-in and leaflet outreach. Please get in touch if you’re interested in some outreach.

Difficult conversations with loved ones about climate?

A conversation starting gift book for those you know how don't understand climate change

This climate conversation book might help. It explains the climate crisis and answers key questions in plain English. It also has pages left blank in the book to explain why you’re involved in direct action and your own personal story.

You can back the book on Kickstarter and get a copy here.
