Zoom meetings, talking about climate and COP26 guide

Hybrid meetings?

We’re meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 7pm in the Trinity rooms, but would you prefer to dial in? We can setup a zoom call for people who can’t meet in person, please reply to this email if you’re interested!

Here’s how to find the Trinity rooms if you’d prefer to come see us. It would be lovely to see you.

Our COP26 guide

COP26 XR Stroud logo

I’ve prepared a guide for rebels that are planning to go to Glasgow for COP26. I’ll be keeping it up-to-date with the latest information for rebels in Stroud and Gloucestershire.

You can view the COP26 guide here.

Next local action

There’s still one more ethical banking action planned at the Cheltenham branch of Barclays on 9 October at 12pm to 2pm. This will be to encourage people to switch to ethical banks. This will likely involve a die-in and leaflet outreach. Please get in touch if you’re interested in some outreach.

Difficult conversations with loved ones about climate?

A conversation starting gift book for those you know how don't understand climate change

This climate conversation book might help. It explains the climate crisis and answers key questions in plain English. It also has pages left blank in the book to explain why you’re involved in direct action and your own personal story.

You can back the book on Kickstarter and get a copy here.
