Calling all Stroud District residents…
Having led the way so brilliantly with their School Strikes for the Climate, students around the world are asking for everyone to lend their support with a Global General Strike.
The Stroud District Earth Strike event is taking place on Friday September 20th. We are asking everyone to join us alongside the Youth Strike at 11.00am at the Archway, Paganhill to march into Stroud town centre.
Details for the day are being arranged but in the meantime, we ask you to spread the word, make plans, banners, even “boats” and prepare for the big day.
We don’t want to harm local businesses so we’re asking people to make every effort to plan well ahead and legislate for the time away from work.
The Global General Earth Strike is a celebration of unity. We are all affected by Climate Breakdown, let’s work together to make the positive changes happen.
