Sorry it’s been so long since an update. I haven’t been able to attend meetings for a while for health reasons, but good news! We’re meeting outdoors again from tomorrow.
We’ll be meeting in the seating area in Stratford Park every two weeks starting tomorrow May 18. Our Wednesday meetings will now be outside. Here’s how to find us if you’ve not attended in a while.

It’s nearly time for rebellion. Things are starting again in London on 9th April. It’s warming up and spring is nearly here, so it’s time to meet in person again.
From 16 March we’ll be meeting at the Trinity Rooms in Stroud at 7pm every Wednesday. Here’s how to find us if you’ve not visited us before.

Did you know that Barclays Bank is a big investor in fossil fuels? It’s the focus of national XR action this month and our next local protest about this on Saturday 19 February in Cheltenham at Barclays Bank 12 to 2pm.
If you missed the meeting in Stroud last week there’s another Just Stop Oil meeting in Gloucester also on Saturday 19 February at 2 to 4pm at the Friends Meeting House, Greyfriars, Southgate Street, Gloucester GL1 1TS.
Just Stop Oil are asking for volunteers for deliver leaflets door to door in Gloucester in the next week or so. Just Stop Oil is willing to pay £80 for 1,000 leaflets delivered.
Our samba band are getting ready for the next rebellion. We’re practicing on alternate Fridays and Sundays 7:30 to 9pm. Beginners are welcome and all training is provided – no musical experience is necessary. Please bring a mask. You can find out more information here.
Thanks for everyone that got in touch about meeting outside. It’s still much too cold for us to meet in the park again, but we’ll aim to try this again in March so we’re ready for the next rebellion on April 9, so watch this space.
Firstly, a big thank you to everyone to wrote emails, letters and protested in the lead up to the Lords vote on the policing bill. Here’s information from Liberty on the 14 amendments that were rejected. It’s not over yet, but it was a great victory for a universal group of protestors.
The new XR strategy for 2022 has been released, and this confirms that rebellion is starting again in Hyde Park in London on 9 April. So save the date.
The new strategy focuses on local rebellion and we’ll be planning local actions with the target of getting 3.5% of the population involved in climate action.
